Ghost Stories 2008Register now for Festival 2009!

Separate Ticket RequiredFriday night & Saturday night, 8:00 p.m.

Crones and gnomes and creepy things fill two nights of fright at these open-air concerts beneath the stars. Each evening features a different collection of haunting tales.

Tickets are sold separately ($10.00) for these bewitching events that begin at 8 p.m. nightly in any kind of weather. It's ground seating only, so be sure to bring a blanket. And remember that the tales may be too vivid for kids under six. Sorry, no pets are allowed on festival grounds.

Muster up your courage for two nights of fearsome fright under the gaze of a night time starry sky. These popular, open-air concerts are a favorite festival tradition, with each evening featuring a different collection of haunting tales.

Donna WashingtonPat MendozaSpecial guest storytellers and former festival tellers Donna Washington and Pat Mendoza, along with selected featured tellers, take the stage on both Friday and Saturday nights. A professional storyteller for twenty years, Washington has taken her amazing vocal pyrotechnics and dynamic physicality to venues across America. Mendoza, performing since 1976, is an author, singer and musician, and has appeared in such venues as the Kennedy Center, the Yukon International Storytelling Festival and on National Public Radio.

"When the festival's renowned ghost stories were told . . . torches flickered and listeners huddled in the autumn darkness as tellers . . . stood in a lighted gazebo, telling."
