How To Apply for the Teller-In-Residence Program
The application deadline for the 2009 Teller in Residence program is November 29, 2008.
The Teller in Residence program runs from May 4 through November 1, 2009. Each week’s residency begins on Monday and ends on Sunday. Participating tellers in residence will be given a $1,500 honorarium, travel and lodging in historic Jonesborough.

To apply, send the following:
- One- to two-page personal resume or biographical sketch with reference to your professional work
- Audio or video tapes that demonstrate your work as a storyteller. (We regret that we are unable to return audio and/or video tapes.)
- A color photo suitable for promotional purposes
- The names and contact information, including email, of three people who, as
references, will be able to speak about your work.
- Preferred week(s) of residency - May 4 through November 1. (Tellers travel to Jonesborough on Monday, appear at the Center Tuesday-Saturday, and leave Jonesborough on Sunday.)
Applications for the Teller-In-Residence will be reviewed by the staff of the International Storytelling Center, and selections will be announced on or before February 1, 2009.
